About
Alcohol use becomes a problem when the substance is not used responsibly. When used repeatedly and excessively the substance can cause devastating effects and consequences to the lives of the individual abuser and their families.
Substance abuse Evaluations reflect the clients level of risk related to the abused substance, as well as, precipitating factors which may have caused the client to become addicted to the substance.
Evaluations determine a diagnosis of abuse or dependence by determining:
- The age of the client at the onset of use
- Patterns of recent use
- Family History of Substance Use
- Past Attempts of Substance Use
- Negative Consequences of use
